Random Thoughts …


Someone sent me a message last week asking why I don’t ever post pictures of myself - my face, my body, nude/partially nude shots, etc.
FYI - I have posted pics of myself on my blog, all pictures of my face and hell, even a few of my feet. Well, the feet one was because it was summer, my feet were tanned and I had just had a pedicure. Plus, my feet are small and they looked kinda cute. However, some follower had the balls to re-blog that picture and then went on to make snarky remarks, so I’ve never posted another picture of my cute little feet.
I’ve posted lots of pictures of my face, leaving them up for a week or so only because I’m in the education field and I don’t want any students recognizing me and then following my page. And that’s only because sometimes I post things that are meant for the 21+ crowd only.
As for not posting nude/partially nude pics of myself. I don’t know, I guess I respect myself too much to do that. I don’t feel the need to impress anyone with how I do or don’t look. I’m not here to turn men on, get their attention, their phone numbers, etc. I figure if someone wants to talk to me, get to know me, spend time with me…then they can send a message to my Ask Box and that will be because they like what I post, what I write and what those posts tell them about me as a person, that maybe they’re intrigued or curious about who I am. Not because of what I may or may not look like naked.
I certainly don’t judge those who do post pictures of themselves naked or even partially so. We each feel comfortable doing whatever it is we do. I’m very comfortable in my own skin - I just don’t feel the need to share ‘myself’ for all the world to see.
Besides, some things should remain a mystery, right?
